The relationship with tourism -particularly heritage tourism- influences and guides urban and territorial transformations in a frequently decisive way. These transformations also decisively involve the architectural design. So, why don't those involved in research and teaching of architectural design attempt to develop a more structured reflection on tourism starting from their own disciplinary interest in heritage? How can we specify the objectives of a disciplinary research on the complex topic of heritage tourism? What are the questions that this research can address? What forms can it take? And what results can it achieve?
