Graphic representation as construction
Keywords:
photograph, representation, constructionAbstract
Photography becomes an architectural construction/reconstruction means grounded on the premise that photographic recording is conscious and intentional. Thus, the priority given to the reality to be recorded implies an intended view or “image construction”. This construction depends on the photographer’s eye, i.e., his intellectual background, concerns, intentions as well as his cultural past and future. A photographer both “records and constructs” a reality perspective which, in turn, will be reconstructed by an active viewer through recycling and reassessment.
