Promoted land occupations, informal subdivisions, and social interest housing projects in northwestern neighborhoods of Greater Buenos Aires

This article explores a process of land occupation between 2011 and 2015; it considers the relationship between the actors' framework and the resulting urban forms to understand the kinds of building and the space use and appropriation. This explains the role played by housing at different times. The analysis illuminates the strategies and representations of heterogeneous actors, their ways of operating, agreements, negotiations, and territory disputes. Methodologically, it is a case study which has been reconstructed using documents, semi-structured interviews, and the elaboration of analytical cartography. It is assumed that reviewing the territorial forms adds new perspectives to the study of this problem.Downloads
