In the region of Rosario city and its metropolitan area, the organization of the production has shaped the territory structure. In this framework it is possible to recognize layers of elements that provide identity to the territory.
This article intends to reveal the presence of these singular elements in the territory which turn out to be milestones in the contemporary landscape and denote the presence of cultural landscape.
The towns, the primary production establishments, the storehouses, agroindustry’s buildings, transport systems -the railway and the train stations-, bridges and port infrastructure compose a cultural landscape, an agricultural landscape. In this context, the identification, survey and inventory of the goods -that once they are re-value became a heritage condition- is formulated.
The landmarks appear as key elements to develop projects that include both urban and territorial scale. The analysis and classification of these landmarks allows the establishment of various potentials: both those related to the mark itself and those related to their role in the territorial system.
Finally, the study of the Oeste Santafesino's railway introduce a research methodology that addressed the identification and management of the agroindustry heritage.
