This work explores the role of transnational business networks in urban production through an analysis of the flow of ideas and policies promoted by the Latin American Real Estate Developers Association (ADI Latam) and its member business chambers. Thus, the ideas, models, and narratives advanced by these organizations as well as the socio-material elements mediating their circulation are examined. The analysis is grounded on a qualitative approach dealing with a corpus of 250 publications collected from social media and the websites of the member chambers. It introduces two theoretical fields: business networks in urban production and policy mobilities literature. The latter provides analytical tools to understand how ideas, discourses, and actors circulating across different scales shape urban production. The work contributes to an underexplored field by addressing the role played by international business associations in the circulation of ideas, models and experiences. They exert a top-down influence on urban and housing policies through private sector actors involved in the transformation of cities across our region.
